For a lot of behavioral conditions, a combination of psychotherapy and medications are prescribed. While psychotherapy allows the individual to express themselves and have the support that they need, medications can help control various physiological factors. Depending on the clients’ condition, medicines can help manage hormones and brain activity. With this, levels of energy, mood fluctuations, and other physical factors can be normalized.
Individuals who are taking medications for their behavioral health issues need to adhere to their prescriptions. This is why we monitor our clients’ ability to follow them during our sessions through follow-ups. Before we prescribe them with medicines, we also evaluate their health history to avoid adverse side effects with other health problems and the medications they have for them.
